EMPLOYMENT  NOTICE

Applications are invited from eligible Schedule Tribe male candidates of UT of Lakshadweep, Schedule Tribe wards of Government employees in Lakshadweep Administration and ex service men from Lakshadweep in the prescribed format to fill up the vacant post of Constable (Executive) in India Reserve Battalion, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli under the direct recruitment category through physical endurance test, physical measurement and open competitive examination. Applications of wards of Government employees in Lakshadweep Administration should attach and produce Service certificates of Government employee issued by the concerened department other wise their applications will stand rejected in the inception stage. • Shot-put: 7.26 Kgs-5.60 Mtrs in 3 chances.

• Written Examination

Written competitive examination will test the knowledge of the candidates in Science, Mathematics, Social Science (History, Geography, Economy and Politics), and knowledge of the candidates about the History and Geography of Lakshadweep and general awareness of the candidate on current issues of national and international importance. This shall consist of 100 multiple choice objective type questions carrying one mark each which will have to be answered in 120 minutes (2hrs) duration. The candidate has to secure a minimum of 40°â marks in the written examination and meet medical standards to qualify for selection.

The level of questions will be 10+2 (Plus two) standard and questions will be in English, Hindi and Malayalam languages. In case sufficient number of candidates not available to fill up the vacancies reserved for departmental candidate as stated above, the department reserve the right to relax up to 5°4 marks i.e. from 40% to 35°A to fill the reserved vacancies. Selection.

Selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in the written examination for the post of Constable. Physical endurance, physical measurement, documentation and medical tests are only qualifying in nature.

The selected candidates will have to successfully undergo Police training at the Central/State Police training School/College.
