EMPLOYMENT NOTICE for Extension Officer in Lakshadweep Administration

Dated: 07.07.2020

The Director of Women & Child Development, Union Territory of Lakshadweep invites application from the qualified local candidates for the appointment to the post of Village Extension Officer (Lady)/Warden under the Department of Women & Child Development under Laksbadweep Administration (Group ‘C’ Non- Gazetted, Non Ministerial) on regular basis under the Department of Women & Child Development. The educational  qualifications etc. required for the post is as given below for Extension Officer in Lakshadweep Administration:

  1. Name of the Post : Village Extension Officer (Lady)/Warden
  • Numb•r of Posts 08 (Eight)
  • Pay: Pay Matrix Level-4 (Rs.25,500)
  • Age limit: Between 18-30 years of age as on last date for Receipt          of         application(Relaxab1e             for          SC/ST candidates and other special categories of person in accordance with the instructions or order issued by the                                  Government of India from time to time) including  the  2  (Two)  years  relaxation  as  per   the  Govt. of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel &  Training)  New Delhi Notification No. 1501 2/6/98-Esrt.(D) dated 21“ December, 1998.
  • Educational and other qualification
  1. Plus two or equivalent.
    1. Should have passed VEO’s training course from a recognized institute.

In the absence of candidates having the essential qualification, candidate having Plus two pass qualification will be selected based on the merit list of the written test and will be deputed to undergo the Village Extension Officers Training at Government recognized Training Institute as prescribed by the Department of Women & Child Development, Lakshadweep. A written test will be conducted having objective type questions of 100 marks.

Candidates attending the test have to secure minimum 40 marks to qualify the written test.
