Project: Study of Multiply-Fortified Salt among Women of Reproductive Age in India
Applications are invited for fi lling the post of “Qualitative Researcher ’ for the research project ‘ Study of Multiply-Fortified Salt among Women of Reproductive Age in India” funded by U CSF.

| Key Responsib ilities:This research position is based in a rural, community-based setting. The Qualitative Researcher will be responsible for the following: In coordination with other members of the research team, draft standard operating procedure qualitative research aspects or the study, including focus group discussions involving women of reproductive age to understand salt purchas ing, cooking, utilization, and storage practices; and sensory and acceptability testing of multiply-fortified salt. Coordinate and facilitatefocus group discussionsinvolving women of reproductive age in the study area; Coordinate and implement sensory and acceptability testing of new formulations of multiply-fortified salt in advance of the trial ; Supervise the Qualitative Research Assistant; Supervise the translation and transcription of all qualitative data.. Develop and maintain an electronic database/platform to capture all qualitative data collected; Analyze all qualitative data collected and prepare reports that summarize key findings and coneI usions; Support the organization of meetings with other members of the research team, international collaborators, and comm unity members; Liaise with the research coordinator, project coordinator and other members of the study team regarding the implementation of all qualitative researc h activities. |
| Qualification and Experience: Essentia 1: ‘ Master in Pu blic Health (MPH); Proven experience conducting qualitative research in a rural, community-based setting; ‘ Data Analysis using ATLAS. ti or similar qualitative software Desirable: Prior experience in nutrition/food fortification and qualitative research methods; Ph. D candidate will be preferred L luent in Lngl ish and regional language (Hindi, Punjabi) |
