| Experience: Minimum of 12 years of working experience post qualification in Transport Planning/ Transportation Engineering related implementation & operations including smart city components. Skills: Experience in transportation systems in: Non-motorized transport (NMT)City Bus Services (CBS)Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS)Rail based Transit System (LRT/MRTS)Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) / Comprehensive Traffic and Transport studiesTransit Oriented Development (TOD) Knowledge of Government policies, acts and framework related to development in Urban Transport and Government schemes/programmersExperience of handling project relationships across various agenciesAbility to supervise outsourced work through agencies and quality management of outputsAbility to work across domains and grasp domain essentials within a short time to be able to deliver projectsExperience of Four Stage Travel Demand Modelling and Financial Modelling in transport sector would be an added qualification. | To develop policy and strategy documents related to public transport systems in DSIRTo create baseline report on transportation system of city with reference to proposal of Development Plan & Town Planning Schemes.Review and work on transport infrastructure & transport projects of DSIR.Review of feasibility reports and DPRs on various aspects of transport planning includes BRTS, RBTS, non-motorized transport, comprehensive traffic and transport studies and transit oriented development.To plan, design and implement intra and intercity public transit system in DSIR in Transport Planner Senior manager in DICDL |
| Preparation of the technical aspects of contractual documents, framing the engineering and technical terms of references and conducting bid process for the selection of consultants and/or contractors; Contract Management and Contract Administration.Implement and manage Urban Transport projects not limited to Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMPs), Parking Studies, Detailed Project Report (DPRs), traffic improvements etc.Periodic review & Monitoring of the work undertaken by various consultants/contractors.
